It’s the middle of the summer and by now you might be needing some new activities to keep your family busy! There’s no better way to enjoy this season than by getting outside and trying a new activity.

Here are a few that might be worth checking out:

 

Paddle the Grand River

Canoe, kayak, tube, or stand-up paddle board your way down the Grand River, about one hour west of Toronto. You can take a self-guided trip with a map or hire a guide. There are lots of different routes and boats to suit your level of experience – making this a great activity to do with kids!

Learn to Fish

From mid-June to late August, you can learn to fish for free at 9 Ontario Parks. The Learn to Fish program is open to kids, teens, and adults. It’s a 2-hour program that combines a practical teaching session with an hour of supervised hands-on fishing.
