Chris Evans Named 'People' Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2022

People Magazine’s sexiest man alive for 2022 is Captain America himself, Chris Evans!

The news was announced Monday night (Nov. 7) on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.  Unfortunately, Chris was not on the show because he’s currently filming his upcoming Netflix movie ‘Red One,’ so his co-star The Rock presented him with the honour.

Chris told People,  “My mom will be so happy.  She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.  This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about.  It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.  Really this will just be a point of bullying [from friends].  It’s ripe for harassment.”

He continues, “It’s something that as I become old and saggy I can look back on and say ‘I remember then.’  I’m lucky to be in the discussion in any capacity.”

Although Chris is ‘very content’ about his life right now, he tells People he’s looking forward to the future, “That’s absolutely something I want.   Wife, kids, building a family. When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships, the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared. So it’s also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important. I love the idea of tradition and ceremony, I had a lot of that in my life so the idea of creating that, I can’t think of anything better.”
