Ed Sheeran has donated some of his childhood Lego to a charitable auction.

Among the 240 items up for auction, are 30 pieces of the Lego that Ed played with as a child. The winning bidder will also receive a photo of Ed posing with a Lego lion.

The fundraising event was organized by Ed’s parents to support young people from his home town of Suffolk. Proceeds from the auction will go towards supporting a local charity GeeWizz.  This charity will focus on redeveloping a playground for kids with disabilities and special educational needs.  This project will require £300,000, and the playground will be based at Ipswich’s Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy.  The rest of the proceeds will go towards the town’s St. Elizabeth Hospice, which supports young people with incurable illnesses.
