A recall has been issued by Health Canada over concerns that some Christmas books may be contaminated with mould.

The books, entitled “That’s Not My Reindeer” and “That’s Not My Santa,” were manufactured by a British firm in China and distributed in Canada by HarperCollins Publishers.

Health Canada says about 1,500 copies of “That’s Not My Reindeer” and 80 copies of “That’s Not My Santa” were sold across Canada between July and December.

The federal agency says both are full coloured board books with half die-cut pages featuring tactile elements.

It says consumers who bought either book should take them the away from young children and return them where they were purchased for a full refund or credit.

The British manufacturer, Usborne Publishing, said it received one customer report of mould found in cartons of a U.K. shipment.
